چکیده

Energy randomness is a notion of partial randomness introduced by Kjos-Hanssen to characterize the sequences that can be elements of a Martin-Löf random closed set (in the sense of Barmpalias, Brodhead, Cenzer, Dashti, and Weber). It brings together ideas from potential theory and algorithmic randomness. In this paper, we show that X ∈ 2ω is s-energy random if and only if ∑ n∈ω 2 sn−KM (X n) < ∞, providing a characterization of energy randomness via a priori complexity KM . This is related to a question of Allen, Bienvenu, and Slaman.

A Randomness Test for Stable Data

In this paper, we propose a new method for checking randomness of non-Gaussian stable data based on a characterization result. This method is more sensitive with respect to non-random data compared to the well-known non-parametric randomness tests.

TESTING FOR “RANDOMNESS” IN SPATIAL POINT PATTERNS, USING TEST STATISTICS BASED ON ONE-DIMENSIONAL INTER-EVENT DISTANCES

To test for “randomness” in spatial point patterns, we propose two test statistics that are obtained by “reducing” two-dimensional point patterns to the one-dimensional one. Also the exact and asymptotic distribution of these statistics are drawn.

On spin systems with quenched randomness: Classical and quantum

The rounding of first-order phase transitions by quenched randomness is stated in a form which is applicable to both classical and quantum systems: The free energy, as well as the ground state energy, of a spin system on a d-dimensional lattice is continuously differentiablewith respect to anyparameter in theHamiltonian towhich some randomness has been added when d ≤ 2. This implies absence of ...

A Review on Dissemination Of Energy-Efficient Broadcast To Channel Randomness In Mobile Networks

Efficient broadcast in mobile networks is a challenging task due to high dynamic topology and energy efficiency and channel randomness. Based on an in-depth analysis of the popular Susceptible Infectious Recovered (SIR) epidemic broadcast scheme. In this paper a a study on novel energy-efficient broadcast scheme was done through dissemination process. This is able to adapt to fast changing netw...
